Description

'The number of persons that have been touched for ye evill and soe many meddalls delivered for that use from ye eighth of January 1685/6 to ye 20th of June 1686, being in all four thousand eight hundred ninety three'. Document recording the numbers touched [by James II] on each of 32 occasions between 8 January and 20 June 1686. Signed by Thomas Sprat (1635-1713), Bishop of Rochester and Clerk of the Closet, and by J Pearse.
