Description

This very watchable film made in the Entomology Section of the West African Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research, Kaduna, Nigeria shows the life of a testse fly from birth to adulthood. We see flies mating, laying lava, lava burrowing into the soil, the pupal case and fly emerging from it, spreading its wings and flying off to find its first blood meal. The film ends with semi close-up footage of a tsetse fly taking blood from a human limb.
