Description

7 September, 1891. Signed and sealed Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews, of Berkhamsted, and Charles Timson, also of Berkhamsted, appointing him as Manager of their business in the United States of America.

The above Agreement bound with a supplementary Agreement, signed and sealed 6 November, 1901.

20 June, 1895. Galveston, Texas, William Cooper & Nephews to William Cooper & Nephews, Berkhamsted. Letter [4 sheets] beginning: "Since Mr Timson's return we have been thoughtfully considering the question of interest on the excess debit with expenses account beyond the sum guaranteed by cases shipped which it was agreed in England should be charged up to the branch, and we come to the opinion that it is very questionable whether any charge at all would be equitable towards the branch and we respectfully ask your consideration of the matter."
