Description

Herbal medicine. Berberis aquifolium (Oregon, Mountain, Grape). Also known as Mahonia aquifolium. Thick dark green leaves with clusters of berry forming yellow flowers. Contains berberine which is relatively toxic but has been used orally for various parasitic and fungal infections and as antidiarrheal.
