This programme looks at people with Munchausen Syndrome, a psychological disorder that leads them to fake illnesses to satisfy their addiction to hospital care. We meet Nina Stansfield (a qualified nurse) who has had, among other things, 7 laparotomies for faked ectopic pregnancies, and Simon Marsh who researches medical conditions then simulates them in A&E departments.
