Woodblock illustration from a work on 'Chinese' medicine by the 18th century Japanese physician Hara Masakatsu, published in 1807 (4th year of the Bunkwa era). It shows the trajectory of the three foot yin channels and three foot yang channels, with the names of the main acu-moxa locations. The three foot yin channels are the spleen channel of foot taiyin, the kidney channel of foot shaoyin and the liver channel of foot jueyin. They run from the feet along the lower limbs to the abdomen and chest. The three foot yang channels are the stomach channel of foot yangming, the gall bladder channel of foot shaoyang and the bladder channel of foot taiyang. They run from the head to the feet via the back of the neck and the back.
