The border around the letterpress is engraved in mezzotint, containg elaborate strapwork and cartouches portraying Franciscan saints and themes. Top centre is the Virgin of the Annunciation, top right is Saint Antony of Padua. Left centre: an author (Saint Bonaventure?); left centre: a female saint holding a monstrance (Saint Clare?); bottom centre: the Holy Cross with the hand of Saint Francis receiving the stigmata

Addressed to Johan Georg Weinzierl, his wife Catharina, and his children Joseph, Maria Anna, Maria Elisabetha, and Clara, all of whose names are added by hand to the impression catalogued
