Notes

Duncan Shields is from Leicester. He is going to take a panoramic photograph of Trafalgar Square while on the plinth. Photography is one of his hobbies. He is an art history student at the University of Leicester where he has just finished his second year. He previously worked as a bar manager but became interested in art through an ex-girlfriend. He aspires to work in the National Gallery. He is originally from Middlesbrough. He has worked with educational art projects but nothing on a large scale. Friends, family, art, photography, food, music and anything culturally engaging are important to him. He plays the guitar in private.
