Notes

Tim McCarthy comes from Belfast. He works with troubled youths running aerosol art workshops - relates to urban culture. Greatly inspired by Renaissance art in particular Da Vinci whose birth and death dates he has tattooed on his arms. On the plinth he is going to wear a t-shirt in response to an earlier plinther that had a blackboard with craving for ice-cream - asking if it art? His t-shirt says "this is not art it's just a bloke standing here" - and on the back "Andy Warhol was wrong I got 1 hour".
