Research Notebooks

Important series of notebooks recording Vogt's laboratory experiments and research. These cover her work in Britain, and also include some of her notebooks from Berlin. As is evident from the notebooks, Vogt used to record her experiments with great detail, including her methods. In most cases the item entry description field begins with the title of the notebook that was written on the cover and spine by Marthe Vogt. All notebooks are in Vogt's manuscript, crammed with information, (not always so easy for the layman to follow!) They include diagrams, tables, charts and graphs also chromatographs, and occasional letters inside or pasted-in which relate directly to the research. They often also contain various loose papers between pages.
