Burroughs Wellcome & Co. desk/hanging calendar illlustrated with tales of folklore. Includes advertisements for Wellcome products.

The folklore tales are taken from the following publications: G. O'Suilleabhain, A Handbook of Irish Folklore; J. Ceredig Davies, The Welsh Gazette and E. & M. A. Radford, Encyclopaedia of Superstitions.

The tales include: a cure for boils, pimples, abcesses and blisters, which involved pointing an edged or pointed instrument towards the affected part three times, and a cure for whooping cough, which involved passing the sufferer under and over a donkey nine times.
