The last publick sermon, being a faithful and free one, preached by Mr. Hugh Mackaile Preacher of the Gospel at Edinburgh, In the Old Church there, upon the Sabbath immediately preceeding that 8th of September 1662, the day affixed for the removing of the ministers of Edinburgh from their kirks, and themselves and their Families from the City in ten Days thereafter. To which is added, A true Relation of his Sufferings and Death, for his Adherence to the Covenanted Work of Reformation. Together with His last Speech and Testimony delivered by him on the Scaffold, at the Cross of Edinburgh, upon the 22d Dec. 1666, where he suffer'd, in the 26th Year of his Age. With some Excerpts taken from the History of the Sufferings of the Church of Scotland, with relation to the Sufferings of him and his Father Mr. Matthew Mackaile, then Minister at Bothwell.
