Description

Watercolour drawing of a tongue showing a cystic swelling on the right half of the dorsum. The patient was a man aged 58. The swelling was of some months' duration. It burst, but filled up again. Later an ounce of pus was aspirated from it. It was finally cured by incision and scraping.
