A new North East Thames Centre was built at Crescent Drive, Brentwood, and opened by Miss Patricia Hornsby-Smith, MO, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health, on 17 Nov 1955. The Directors were Dr W J Jenkins, 1955-1981, followed by Dr Jean F Harrison
