Plates 1-39, engraved by John Norman, are the same as those in Norman's 1786 Boston edition with title: An abridgment of the practice of midwifery: and a set of anatomical tables
Apparently issued to accompany Alexander Hamilton's Outlines of the theory and practice of midwifery, which has the same imprint
"Additional table," no. 40 (p. 96-98) is by Dr. Thomas Young.
Copy 1 Note: Bound with:, and issued as a companion volume to, A. Hamilton's Outlines of ... midwifery, 1797. The 40 plates are indentical with those in the Worcester edition of 1793; nos. 1 to 39 were engraved, after the originals, by J. Norman of Boston who published them first in 1786 (see entry under that year)
