Description

Heatley's correspondence with various people and organisations, mainly regarding his work, methods, production and use of penicillin, particularly assay methods, equipment (ceramic troughs for two dimensional chromatography), micrococcin (antibiotic used in treatment of mastitis in cows) and the development of his microrespirometer as well as possible openings at his laboratory in Oxford at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology.

Including correspondence with the Animal Diseases Research Association, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Glaxo Laboratories, Wellcome Research Laboratories New York, Medical Research Council National Institute for Medical Research, US Department of Agriculture, various UK companies and UK universities, plus institutions and companies in Germany and France.
