Biographical note
A damaged label on the spine reads: 'Andreae Vaccae. T.III', and this MS. contains an anonymous student's notes of his lectures on surgery at Pisa University, which he began as professor of surgery there in 1800. He had obtained his M.D. in 1791 and had studied in Paris, and in London under John Hunter.
