About this work

Description

EASC was formed in 1998 to extend the information role of the former EISC. It coordinated relations with schools, and with relevant bodies in the area of public understanding of science. It also dealt with career opportunities for physiologists and with public understanding of the physiological sciences [Information taken from SA/PHY/H/5/1]. As with other Physiological Society sub-committees, its name, format, and function have not remained static. By 2008, EASC no longer existed, instead there was a "External Relations Policy Committee."
