About this work

Description

Black and white photograph showing paralysis and wasting of the muscles of the hands, associated with the presence of cervical ribs. The proximal phalanges are over-extended, the distal ones flexed. The wasting of the muscles of the hypothenar eminences is well marked. From a woman aged 18 years. The wasting and weakness of the hands had been observed for 12 months.
