This includes administrative papers such as annual reports, articles of association, ethics and procedure statements, and membership applications; publications for members such as newsletters, bulletins and published details of the proceedings of international congress; curated dossiers on the planning and execution of successive international congress; meeting minutes and agendas for both the executive and general meetings; and files on partnerships with other organisations, including correspondence with the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists, and work with the World Health Organisation on the publication of 'The Role of Physical Therapy in the Care of the Elderly'.

Given to the library at Wellcome Collection by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy in September 1995 and December 1998.

Biographical note

Founded in 1951, the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT), is an international voice for physical therapy, now representing more than 450,000 physical therapists worldwide through its 120 member organisations.

The main aim of the WCPT is to further the physical therapy profession and improve global health by encouraging the support and exchange of physical therapy research, education and practice.
