Notes

Katherine Mendelsohn is from London but has lived in Edinburgh for 10 years. Katherine is a literary agent, she commisions playwrites to write plays for a theatre, she discusses how she ended up in that role and what she enjoys most about it. She had decided to go on the plinth since she has recently lost close friends to cancer and wants to make the most of every opportunity. Katherine discusses how not everyone can have a statue to commemorate them, but is using this experience to publicly and privately remember those who she loves that have died. She will not be peforming but holding up their names, their dates of birth and death and has brought an object that reminds her of them. She talks about the concept of fear and how she deals with it.
