Description

Personal ephemera of Audrey Amiss including educational and employment documents. These items, along with photographs and school books catalogued as PP/AMI/A/3, were originally stored by Audrey in a leather satchel. The records have been removed for preservation reasons; the satchel has been recatalogued as PP/AMI/A/1.

Items include:

Application form for post of "Art Mistress (Junior) at Bede Grammar School for Boys and Girls (Audrey's old school). Includes a letter from Audrey's former school teacher and references from the Royal Academy. Includes envelope. 1958.

Typing certificates (1959 and 1963).

Birth Certificate for Audrey Amiss. 1933.

Appointment letter for typist role at the Ministry of Labour (Hanway House, London). 1962.

Employment documents, concerning pay and National Insurance, sick pay, and the Official Secrets Acts.

National Registration Identity Card, 1940.

Royal Academy Exhibition Notice to Artists, 1962.

University of Durham School Certificate for Bede Grammar School for Girls. 1950.
