Description

Expenditure per year on items such as coal, water, rates and taxes, salaries and wages, repairs and alterations, insurance, furniture; entries under headings. At the end is a statement of expenditure on each category in each year averaged per patient, with quantity or weight per patient. Also there is an analysis of income 1878/9 showing under the various rates of payment the income from the patients, with average numbers of patients under these rates At the end, an explanation of the methodology of the calculations used in the summaries is given There are three loose sheets of paper within the volume: one is an analysis of the cost of itemised provisions for a family of 4 or 5 for the years 1884-1892; the second is a list of Retreat wages, giving names and sums, 31 March 1895; the third is an analysis of sums spent on Retreat house expenses, salaries and wages, repairs and alterations, income from patients, profit and loss, set out in columns, 1873-1893 Volume marked: 'Analysis of Income and Expenditure' on front. 1879/80 - 1907/8
