Biographical note

Alexander Grant is very probably the person of that name, described as 'Regens in Universitate Andreana', who became 'Licentiatus Medicinae' in 1673 at University & King's College, Aberdeen. [Cf. 'Officers and Graduates of University and King's College'. New Spalding Club. 1893, p. 120.] An Alexander Grant of Moray ('Moraviensis) received his M.A. Degree at the same College in 17/7/1662 [ibid., p. 196].
