Description
Correspondence generated by CJS Thompson seeking materials for the Historical Medical Exhibition, planned for 1904, but not finally opening until 1913.
Each correspondent was assigned a registration number from a running sequence and entered into a register with details of the materials offered for sale or loan. The correspondence was then filed alphabetically by correspondent, in registration number order within each file. Most letters of the alphabet have more than one file, and some correspondents have an individual file.
