Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Performers on the music-hall stage had to have a gimmick to get noticed. The Hassans, pictured on this postcard of ca. 1927, certainly have gone all out in the costume department . A 'slave' in clown make-up, fringed skirt and towering straw hat fans a 'Salome' style dancer of indeterminate gender wearing so much in the way of costume and accessories that it cannot have been easy to perform."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
