About this work

Description

A compendium of medicine and surgery compiled by an unidentified student, comprising notes of lectures by Jean Astruc (1684-1766), professor of Medicine at the Collège Royal, copies of theses by Antoine Fizes (1689-1765), professor for medicine at Montpellier, and an anonymous treatise on head wounds. With two printed doctoral dissertations.

For a similar manuscript, cf Bibliothèque Municipale d'Epernay, ms. 178-65, noted by P. Huard in Biographies médicales et scientifiques, XVIII Siècle (Paris, 1972), p.25. Neither text ever seems to have been printed.
