Mainly an attack on the works of Fuchs and a defense of the author's own publications, which had been criticized by Fuchs in the prefatory epistle for his De historia stirpium, Basel, 1542 and also in his other works. Cf. Eberhard Stübler, Leonhart Fuchs (München, 1928) p. 106-107. Fuchs replied in his Cornarrius furens, printed in Basel later in the same year.
