Description
Microsporidiosis, an intestinal parasitic infection.
This is a low power view of small bowel mucosa in a patient with severe microsporidiosis. This resected ilium shows widening and blunting of the intestinal villi, with increased inflammatory cells in the lamina propria. H&E stain.
