Description
John offers Jesus a pear. On the right is the lamb, and next to it a snail, though in this state only the top of the snail is visible. The snail appears to be part of the Farinati's signature, for unknown reasons (Bartsch, op. cit. pp. 162-163)

Vierge assise, ayant sur ses genoux l'enfant Jésus à qui St. Jean debout à gauche sur un berceau présente du fruit. La Vierge baisse la main gauche pour faire des caresses à l'agneau. On lit en bas, à droite : P. F. I., et au milieu de la marge: Ho. f. f. Au-dessus de cês dernières lettres est cette adresse: Gasparo dalolio exc. L'escargot est à droite. Le coin à la gauche du bas de la planche a été brisé, c'’est pourquoi l'angle de cet endroit n'est point exprimé. Hauteur: 9 p. 2 lign. Largeur : 8 p. 2 lign. On a deux épreuves de ce morceau. La première est celle que l'on vient de détailler. La seconde est tirée de la planche après qu'on lui avoit donné la forme d'un octogone. On y lit: PFari I. au lieu de P. F. I.")
