Notes

Andrew Holland comes from Rossendale, Lancashire. He is an artist who is very much involved in drawing and painting. He studied fine art in the late seventies and became a professional painter but then lost his eyesight and was registered blind in 2002. Has since had his condition more or less rectified and has now been unregistered. He is also a teaching assistant in a special needs school, using techniques he learnt when studying for a post graduate diploma at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts to make art as accessible as it can be to create really fantastic work. He is going on the plinth to take some photographs and from these he will be doing paintings.
