Description

Correspondence and papers relating to the Working Group on Health and Environmental Effects on Military Activities (HEEMA), established 1992. HEEMA was interested in nuclear testing, weapons production, toxic pollution, landmines, and other issues concerning the health and environmental implications of military activities. HEEMA organised a Medact seminar, "Landmine Injuries: their treatment and prevention", held at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, 17 Feb 1993. For records relating to this seminar, refer to SA/MED/E/3/34.

Includes HEEMA meeting papers, IPPNW Working Group on the Environment recommendations to IPPNW Executive Committee, background papers, and related correspondence.
