About this work
Description
Recipes and notes, on a single leaf apparently torn from a book. recto: numbers and names of medicinal ingredients, with two long recipes (to clear the sight and for dropsy). verso: various remedies: "for the olde cough", "for scruff of the hed", etc. The hand varies from entry to entry; it is not apparent whether the recipes are compiled by several individuals or by one person making entries in the book at different times.
