Description
First in a three-part series looking at pregnancy and childbirth in different religious and cultural traditions. This part features the celebrations marking the birth of a Jewish boy to the Waxmans in North Manchester. The couple describe how they treat child birth and Helena Brodie, a Jewish midwife, describes some of the customs that nurses should abide by when delivering the child of an orthodox Jewish couple.
