Notes

Carol Holland lives in Teddington but was born in Canada. She is doing the project for fun. She is a quilter and has a quilt top made in Kentucky in the 1930s; she wanted to do something that was comfortable so is going to put the wadding and backing on the quilt. She is going to play some 1930s swing music. She left school early and went back to college when she was 40 and got a diploma in quilting. She later studied stitched textiles, after which she went on to do a degree in public art at Roehampton University. She describes herself as creative, stubborn and practical - very efficient and meticulous. She tries to live her life as comfortably as she can without upsetting people.
