Description

He poses in a relaxed manner wearing a low-cut dress. Chris Bennett, on an autographed real photo postcard publicising 'Splinters' revue, appearing at Nottingham in 1921. 'Splinters' was one of the concert parties formed in France by British servicemen in World War I. The group re-formed after the war, and had an extremely successful career in revue into the 1930s. They appeared in a short film entitled 'Splinters' in 1929. Also see Wellcome Library No. 2044972i.
