About this work

Description

Human nasal septum cartilage on a glass slide prepared for teaching many years ago. Cartilage cells (stained black) and connective tissue (stained pink) are visible here. The nasal septum separates the nasal cavity into two nostrils dividing the nose into two airways. Width of image is 16 mm.
