Description

Fifteen folders of newspaper cuttings, mostly from the local press. There are four cuttings from 1965 to 1967 relating to Crichton Royal sports teams and nursing awards. Cuttings from 1985 onwards were collected by the Health Board Archivist and cover reports on a wide range of subjects relating to the hospital, including hospital developments, moves towards care in the community, opposition to the selling of Crichton Royal Hospital land, opposition to the opening of Huntingdon Day Hospital, staff cuts, staff achievements, staff retirements; fundraising, letters to the paper, Project 150 and celebrations for the hospital's anniversary in 1989, weddings at Crichton Royal Memorial Church, staff Union action, Crichton Royal sports teams, and the use of Crichton Royal Hospital buildings.
