Notes

Karis Folan comes from Ireland but now lives in London. She is a teacher, the Head of English. On the plinth she wants to say how much she loves her family. She will be bringing a candle to light for a dear colleague who died recently. She will also be expressing herself through her favourite art form - reading poetry. She is wearing the uniform of the school she is working at. She is going to mention Jack Petchey who had started with nothing and has done so much with his life and has fed back his wealth into the community
