c1890 worked at John Bell & Co, Pharmacy in Oxford Street, London.

1896 Travelling Representative for Burroughs, Wellcome & Co.

1899ff sent to South Africa to oversea Burroughs, Wellcome & Co. supplies to army. Set up Cape Town branch of Burroughs, Wellcome & Co.

1901 responsible for Burroughs, Wellcome & Co. interests in Australia.

c1902-1905 Head of Foreign Department.

1905-1924 General Manager for Burroughs, Wellcome & Co. appointed on the retirement of R.C.Sudlow.

1916 21 years long service award

1924-1936 Deputy Governing Director, Wellcome Foundation Ltd, later (?after 1930) Governing Director.

1936-1940 Chairman of the Wellcome Foundation Ltd, appointed on the death of Henry Wellcome.
