Biographical note

Alnwick Infirmary can trace its origins back to 1815 when a publicly funded Dispansery was opend to provide medical care to the poor. After the 1849 outbreak of cholera in Alnwick was over the Dispansery was re-opened under the name of Alnwick Infirmary. It is a commuinty hospital located on the outskirts of the town of Alnwick, Northumberland.
