Villous papilloma of the right rectum : trans-sphincteric exposure and submucosal resection.

By way of introduction, illustrations from the first case of villous tumour recorded by Richard Quain in 1885, are shown. The morphology, histopathology and biochemistry of this group of tumours are shown followed by the present day methods of treatment, operative technique and post-operative healing.
