About this work

Description

Six-part drama-documentary series about the founding fathers and formative experiences of modern medical science: Part 6: The Search for the Magic Bullet. Ehrlich's discovery of salvarsan as an effective treatment for syphilis earns him a Nobel Prize, but in general the search for other "magic bullets" proves disappointing, as does Sir Almroth Wright's "vaccine therapy".
