Description

The Journal of Physiology was founded in 1878, and publishes original research which illustrates new physiological principles or mechanisms. Papers on work at the molecular level, the level of the cell membrane, single cells, tissues or organs and systems physiology are all considered, with a particular emphasis on human and mammalian physiology.
