Notes

Liz Moncrieff is from Dorset where she works in the dairy industry as a calf-rearer. Born and raised in Dorset she moved to London and worked for the Metropolitan Police for 20 years. After retiring from the police she returned to Dorset. Originally she envisioned her retirement revolving around her horse and the making of stain glass windows, but she accidently fell into the dairy industry by helping out on her friend's farm. She heard about this project through an email from Dorset Visual Arts. On the plinth she wants to talk about the hard work that is involved with dairy farming. She has brought a model of a calf and will spend her time explaining what happens to the calf from birth till the day its leaves her. She will also talk about the general work that takes place on the farm.
