Biographical note

The author was a mathematician and general compiler: the 'Philosophical Grammar' was published in 1735 [see the Dictionary of National Biography]. E. Corsini was professor of logic at Pisa in 1735, and of ethics and metaphysics in 1746. In 1754 he became head of the Piarist Order in Rome.
