Description

In the background a notice contains four lines from the Navy Hymn, written by William Whiting in 1860: "Eternal Father, strong to save, Whose arm doth bind the restless wave, O hear us when we cry to Thee, For those in peril on the sea.". In the frieze above are other inscriptions: "voice. Come unto me. Look unto me."
