About this work

Description

Two documents: 26 September, 1895 (referring to Australasia), and 4 December, 1896 (referring to India and Ceylon). In both authorities, Weld is referred to as "Chief" of travelling representatives. Both authorities signed by Henry Wellcome.

File includes a memorandum (4 September, 1896) to Weld: "Under the circumstances of the present trip, we do not think this [authority] will be required. You will, of course, retain the Power of Authority you already hold from us, and should the necessity arise to show your authority, we think it will be quite sufficient for you to show the Australasian document, together with this letter."
