Bilharzia control : Uganda.

This documentary follows the first stages of an international control programme instigated by the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative and the World Health Organisation, with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The film tracks the first stages of research and implementation in uganda where three and a half million people will be given repeat treatments over the next three years. It focuses on the people most affected by the disease, concentrating on the case for chemotherapy and the importance of advocacy and public health education.
