About this work

Description

The letter refers to his earlier letter to Sir Edward Lugard about deaths from cholera in the army hospitals, army medical services, cholera generally and his research into it as used by the French government during an outbreak there in 1865, stating that cholera is invariably preceded by a diarrhoea and if that can be cured the patient may be saved.
